Rifts Vampire Sourcebook 7 Gm Material

This book is fantastic for GMs that want to take direct action against the vampire intelligences of Mexico. It has actual plans for Doc Reid and his Rangers. There is a basic timeline of when things will take place, who is involved, how to get players involved, and more.

The book lists Doc Reid and his generals as well as some OCCs to add more NPCs if desired. What better way to fight the vampires than with the undead? That’s exactly what some Necromancers in Mexico think and it’s very effective. Doc Reids 2nd in command has an army of hundreds and hundreds of zombies and mummies. No army is useful though without somewhere to go, and Doc Reid has plans for them.

Multiple locations of attack are in mind by he and his allies. They have plans for a super secret weapon to be taken into the pyramids of the vampire intelligences after which a major offensive is intended.

Player Material from Vampire Sourcebook

For players, there is a slew of items to look at for the purpose of killing vampires. There is a section that covers tactics for fighting vampires. It can be especially helpful for those that are new to Rifts or fighting vampires for the first time. Don’t consider the tactics listed to be the only ones available through, make sure you and your player group come up with your own tactics too.

As far as implementing your tactics goes there are new items like TW sungun, water-based defenses, wood-firing rail guns, and more. You may not have thought about it but a firetruck or a fireman power armor are all very effective vs vampires.

Rifts World Book 36 Sovietski Review covers some factions outside North America if you don’t want to deal with Vamps anymore.

Story material in Rifts sourcebook 7

The idea Doc Reid puts into motion will devastate the vampire intelligences in a very short time period. Some will die, some will flee, and that’s when the fight for Mexico will start. Supernatural creatures, like vampires and vampire intelligences, are notorious for underestimating humans. The strike that Doc Reid delivers will come out of nowhere for most of the intelligences but when it does hit, they will strike back viciously.

Their strikes will mostly be to defend their own territories or take over more areas. In a short amount of time though they will become increasingly desperate to drive off the human invaders. At least this is how I personally see things going for the Vampires vs humans. How will you have things play out?

Originality of Rifts Vampire Sourcebook

The secret weapon is really different in the world of Rifts. In addition, i think the plans for fighting the vampires are really well put together and quite plausible. How well it works out, in the long run, is questionable, especially with all the other problems worldwide going on, but it will make a dent in the vampire influence.

Is Rifts Sourcebook 7 game breaking

The secret weapon is incredibly powerful and totally unique so it’s absolutely game-breaking. Though the player’s characters don’t know what it is so it will get used as intended and not cause any problems. I think players reading this book will want to know more about it and perhaps attempt to create their own versions. Those that do could eventually create for themselves a major tool versus supernatural evils but at the same time make themselves a huge target by them.

How good are the occs

The vampire hunter occs listed here are quite enjoyable in their specific context. I’m not a fan in any tabletop roleplaying game of playing niche classes because outside of their primary environment they become increasingly inflexible and potentially useless. That said the ones here do a great job at fighting vampires and their quirks make them intriguing to play.

How well does it mix with the core book

The vampire sourcebook mixes fantastically with the main rifts book. Knowing what happens in this book is integral for understanding the direction Rifts Earth starts to move when the Minion Wars unfold in late 109pa.
