Suggested order of play for the Meta-Game Adventure Series.
The Meta-Story arc for Palladium Rifts begins in 101 pa, where shortly into the beginning of the decade the Juicer Uprising takes parts of the Coalition States by storm. A war between Juicers and the Coalition requires some finesse. An adventure group against an motivated and agitated Juicer can spell doom for the party. On the other hand, a squad of CS Soldiers, consisting mainly of Dog Boys, a Psi-Stalker or Master Psychic and a Full-Conversion Borg can equally spell doom for a party. An inexperienced adventure group can be quickly overwhelmed up against these odds.
To combat this disparity, the idea was proposed to help the player-characters build-up their characters, skills and combat prowess and equipment list. A succession of carefully measured games can quickly propel the player-characters and help the players establish a footing and report with each other. Therefore, we set the game back to 93 pa, and up against Vampires in the famed Vampire Kingdom of Mexico. This way, the GM can inject opportunities for the players to meet key figures often spoken about in Palladium Rifts. Erin Tarn, Victor Lazlo, Kenneth ‘Doc’ Reid and his Rangers and a few superfluous mercenaries introduced in various books. Having the players paired up with Reid’s Rangers allows the GM to include more experienced NPCs to help their players.
Therefore, we start the adventures in El Paso and eventually work our way south into the Vampire Kingdom of Mexico. After a few adventures we end the arc on taking and liberating Torreon Mexico and help transform it to the Free City of Fort Reid.
This arc will help build the reputation and notoriety of the player-characters and help them forge their own backstory.
